These are some of the pictures taken during our very first outing as a club. In November 2009 club members took a 6mm AWI game (re-fight of Guilford Courthouse, 1781) to the Library in Sheerness, Kent, as a demonstration game. We used Alan's collection of 6mm Adler figures and terrain and fought the battle using 'British Grenadier' rules. Whilst the rules are great they do take a while to play through, we only managed to clear the first of three rebel lines, it then took us several club night meetings to complete the battle!
Some of the more memorable parts of the library game was a British General fleeing the battle at the first shot, and a library assistant saying that the figures looked cute, and reminded her of her sisters Polly Pocket collection!!!!!
